Join fellow residents for a hands‑on conservation session in the beautiful Maryburgh Community Woodland. Together we’ll keep the woodland healthy and welcoming for everyone.  In this session we are planning to tidy up all the brash in the woodland.  We hope this will provide habitat for insects, birds and small mammals over the winter.

Activities in the Woodland

  • Removing non‑native invasive species – targeting Western Hemlock and Beech regeneration
  • Pruning overhanging branches that block pathways
  • Trimming shrubs to maintain clear walking routes
  • Litter picking – bags and basic tools supplied

Expert volunteers will be on‑site to give advice and guidance throughout the morning.

📅 Recurring Schedule

  • When: The first Saturday of the month.  If there are any changes to the date it will be announced on this website.
